General description

Every club ticket should have a proper stretch of countryside canal!

Ideal for spinning/drop-shotting or just enjoying the sunshine and watching the day go by.

Match/pleasure sessions usually show a mixed net of bits, with some bigger “Zander-proof” Skimmers/Bream and Perch being caught also.

There’s some big old “Canal Carp” for anyone that fancies some pre-baiting for an elusive stowaway…

The Ashby Canal is electrofished by the Canal and River Trust each winter to remove some of the “alien” Zander that were introduced illegally back in the 1970s – each time they do it it throws up plenty of surprises!

The Bosworth Marina is slap bang in the middle of our stretch… and whilst it’s a pain to navigate round on foot it is usually a good holding spot for fish (especially in the colder months when the fish congregate where it’s slightly warmer).
